Methodology
How We Review Products
This page explains how reviews on ReviewVexa are put together, and—just as important—what they do not claim.
1. Research from public information
Every review starts by collecting what is publicly available about the product: the manufacturer's website and materials, retail product listings, published documentation, instruction leaflets, and other information located during research. We note the date we looked, because prices, availability and specifications change.
2. A consistent structure, adapted per category
We organise each review into the same broad structure so products are easy to compare. The details inside that structure change with the category:
- Features and specifications — central for electronics and equipment.
- Ingredients or formulation — for supplements and personal-care products, quoted from the label with the serving size.
- How the product is used — assembly, charging, dilution, patch testing and similar.
- Pricing — including price per serving or per unit where relevant.
- Manufacturer information — claims, documentation and support.
- Guarantee, refund policy and availability.
- Points that appear positive, and possible limitations.
- Anything notable that surfaced during research, including gaps in the available information.
If a section does not apply to a product, we leave it out rather than pad the review.
3. What our reviews do not claim
- We do not state that a product was physically tested unless it genuinely was.
- We do not fabricate test data, measurements, durability results or usage outcomes.
- We do not invent customer opinions or quotes.
- We do not assign star ratings, numeric scores or rankings unless there is a real, disclosed methodology and data behind them. At present, our reviews are descriptive and analytical rather than scored.
- We do not make medical or health claims. For supplements and wellness products, we describe what the label and manufacturer say and encourage readers to consult a qualified professional.
4. Editorial independence
Reviews are written by the editorial team and are not submitted to manufacturers for approval. Some links may be affiliate links (see the Affiliate Disclosure), but whether a link earns a commission has no bearing on what the review says.
5. Updates and corrections
We revisit a review when we become aware of a meaningful change — for example to price, availability, specifications or a manufacturer's policy — and update the "last updated" date on the page. If you believe something is inaccurate, please contact us and we will review it.
